NOW, right now, there is a professor predicting a reduction in survival time for Japan to March 31, 2015. You may have already seen the links and comments making their way around the internet.
No predictions were made in the article for the rest of us, nor are the statistics broken down to Northern and Southern Hemispheres…. Just predictions for Japan….extending and pretending that ‘THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE DANGER FOR THE REST OF US’.

Be reminded that THE REACTOR CORES AT FUKUSHIMA WERE DESIGNED TO BE IN COOLING POOLS. Spraying the reactor cores with water from time time does not get the job done.
Super Powers are required to intervene and cooperate. Evacuate. Drop the reactor cores into the ocean, send nuke-subs from all countries to pick up the cores, deal with ‘storage’ and know that the radiation cannot escape through the surface of the water. That’s the first step.
The reactor cores were designed to be in cooling pools. Those gigantic pumps force firehose-velocity-water from several directions on the thousands of tons of fuel assemblies in the pools. They are actually violent places. The whole trick, though, is that the radiation cannot escape from the surface of the water; that is all there is to it.
